The "SFB 1244 Symposium – Adaptive skins and structures" will take place on the occasion of the 70th birthday of Prof. Dr Werner Sobek, former head of the Institute of Lightweight Structures and Conceptual Design (ILEK) and initiator of the SFB 1244.

Following the symposium, the exhibition "Adaptive Architecture" will ceremoniously open in the Demonstrator high-rise, D1244. The exhibition will take place on at least eight of the twelve levels and will also be open to visitors at the IBA'27 Festival in June 2023.

The D1244 is thus a project of the International Building Exhibition 2027, StadtRegion Stuttgart (IBAʼ27) and for this reason, will be showcased to the public as one of the spotlights. More information about the IBA'27 Festival can be found here: "IBA'27 -Festivals"

Updates on the further program of the symposium will follow shortly.
