Der SFB 1244 lädt zu einem besonderen Seminar zum Thema „Structural Origami“ ein.
Wissenschaftler aus aller Welt finden im Januar 2019 in Stuttgart ein, um beim dritten „Structural Origami Gathering“ aktuelle Fragestellungen zum Thema Falten gemeinsam zu bearbeiten: Wie funktionieren Insektenflügel? Kann man alles falten? Und eben auch: Welche Anwendungen und Auswirkungen hat Falten auf die Architektur von morgen? Internationale Spitzenforscher geben hierzu faszinierende und überraschende Einblicke in ihre Arbeit, darunter Professor Erik Demaine vom MIT und Professor Tomohiro Tachi von der Universität Tokyo.
